Our Eastern Territorial Headquarters has an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Communications Director.
The Director is pivotal in the Communications Department, encompassing the core responsibility of overseeing and elevating digital channels and platforms (including social media, websites, and e-communications) across the eastern territory.
This position harmonizes strategic and operational proficiencies in formulating and spearheading digital communication endeavors, underscored by exceptional leadership capabilities.
ResponsibilitiesThe individual in this role will exhibit a mastery of strategic thought, adept problem-solving skills, and a profound aptitude for narrative weaving within the digital online community landscape.
This entails the conveyance of messaging centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ, facilitated through an internal communication framework.
Strategically manage and enhance front-end operations for internal communication websites and social media for the USA Eastern Territory.
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive digital communication initiatives, employing a strategic approach to maximize impact and engagenment.
Ensure alignment of engagement and content with territorial vision and Salvation Army values.
Collaborate with Internal Communications Marketing & Branding Director for brand consistency.
Cultivate and employ exceptional leadership skills to guide a team fostering collaborative and innovative environment.
Develop and execute annual digital communication strategy with an emphasis on maximizing growth and engagement through The Salvation Army Eastern Territory's social media and internal websites.
Generate monthly digital engagement reports using web/social data.
Oversee the creation and distribution of good news e-newsletter publication.
Mentor team, foster vendor relationships, and maintain fiscal responsibility.
Collaborate on territorial-wide digital content strategy.
Demonstrate strong communication skills and organization.
Handle unexpected production challenges and adapt to evolving technology.
Integrate SAconnects Magazine content on platforms.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Travel, work flexible hours, and fulfill additional assignments as directed.
QualificationsBachelor's Degree5-7 years of related experienceStrong oral and written communications skillsAbility to maintain fiscal management of the program including compliance with annual budget.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
