00 per hour DESCRIPTION Highland Medical PC, a division of Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking Medical Receptionists to work throughout the summer - a great opportunity for college students! The Medical Receptionist receives patients at the front desk, greeting and checking them in.
Responsible for registration, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, collection of co-pays/deductibles, pre-certification or authorization of accounts.
Responsible for setting up patient charts for new patients.
Scan and copy pertinent information into electronic patients' charts (EMR system) Training would be provided.
Performs various secretarial and clerical functions in support of the medical office.
QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma required; some college level courses or degree preferred.
One to two years administrative experience preferred in a medical office or hospital setting.
Proficiency in multi-tasking and organizational skills while supporting a multi-line phone system.
Working knowledge of an EMR system.
A thorough understanding of medical office terminology and procedures, insurance carriers including Medicare and Medicaid.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, faxing and scanning.
Must be dependable and value working as part of a team.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
