J-Trippers Camp Program Director (Summer 2019)

OVERVIEW: The J-Trippers Camp Program Director serves as a member of the JCC Rockland Camps professional staff. The Program Director works within the framework of the total agency program and objectives to which the program is related. Specific responsibilities lie within all camp and summer programming, staffing and oversight related to trips and travel.
ABOUT CAMP: J-Trippers provides campers a unique summer camp experience. Exciting day trips, late night trips and overnight excursions are planned for summer 2019. Campers find themselves on an awesome adventure every day, beaches, sporting events, amusement parks, interactive workshops, special events, and more!
J-Trippers campers also participate in community service projects throughout the summer that teach the value of giving back to their communities.
Reports to: Assistant Camp Director
Job Duties:
Organize, direct and oversee daily schedule of activities and events
Oversee daily staff schedules and assignments
Staff training and supervision
Delegation of tasks to and shared responsibilities with camp supervisor
Weekly correspondence to all registered families
Overall supervision and organization of program, space and supplies
Daily positive interaction with campers, parents, program staff, members and JCC staff as a whole
Work in a team environment
Implementation and follow through on all program policies and procedures
Attend off-season meetings and events as assigned
Participate in pre-camp Staff Orientation
Build strong and positive relationships with teen campers & staff
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience working with youth, preferably some work with teens
Experience as a supervisor is a plus
Previous work in a summer day, overnight or travel camp preferred
Great communication skills both oral and written
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (word, publisher & excel)
Schedule:
July 1 - August 23, 2019. Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (no work July 4), plus weekly late night and overnights
Approx. 5-10 hours/week from Mid-May through June



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
