JCC Rockland's Beyond the Bell School Age Care, After School Program Assistant Site Supervisor
Reports to Site Supervisor
Job Duties:
Implementation of daily schedule of activities and events
Assist with staff schedules and placement
Assist in training and supervision of staff
Overall supervision and organization of program
Daily positive interaction with youth, parents and co-workers
Assist with special event and Club planning and implementation
Work in a team environment
Implementation and follow through on all program policies and procedures
Assist with upkeep of site location for cleanliness and to meet all New York State Office of Children & Family Services guidelines
Attend on-going staff trainings
Assist with site shopping needs
Set up and prepare snack daily
Oversee and run homework rooms
Organize, plan, Implement and supervise specific program aspects as assigned by Site Supervisor
Oversee daily responsibilities such as staff subs, time sheets, newsletter, monthly attendance reports, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
18 credits or more in childcare related courses, Associates degree or higher preferred
Minimum of 5 years experience working with youth ages 3-13 years old
2 or more years as a supervisor is a plus
Summer Camp experience a plus
Great communication skills both oral and written
Creative, energetic and out-going
M-F 2-6:30pm during the school year on regular school days (hours vary based on site needs)
Additional hours on half days and no school days optional
Hourly/Based on experience and skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
